Independent Continental Provinces:

The collective name of the five great divisions of land which were thrust into space intact, when the planet Eternal Flame exploded. The sections of land were frozen in space mid-explosion, as a result of a time anomaly, instigated by a time device. Much of the planet’s population was destroyed, but the survivors on each land mass, called continents, to varying degrees, rebuilt their civilizations, founded their own provincial governments and organized a loose relationship for trade between continents.
